Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy utilises the natural properties of water, such as buoyancy and pressure to alleviate pain, improve joint mobility, enhance circulation, and promote muscle relaxation. This makes it highly beneficial for dogs recovering from injuries, managing joint conditions, or undergoing pre/post-surgical rehabilitation, where reduced weight-bearing and gentle exercise are essential. The warm water (maintained at a soothing 32°C) further relaxes muscles and helps reduce stress.
Our purpose-built hydrotherapy pool measures a spacious 3m x 5m and is partially submerged for easy access. Centrally positioned within the room, it allows full 360-degree accessibility, ensuring both dogs and their owners can fully engage in each session. Hydrotherapy is commonly used to improve the following conditions:
- Hip dysplasia
- Elbow dysplasia
- Patella luxation
- Cruciate ligament rupture
- Arthritis
- Spondylosis
- Orthopaedic conditions
- Neurological conditions
- Soft tissue injuries
- Degenerative conditions
